What's involved — the blocked-drain process, step by step
Most blocked drains follow the same clear path, and most are cleared in a single visit — often the same day, especially when a drain is backing up.

- Call and booking — we ask which fixtures are affected, whether anything is backing up or smelling, and how long it has been going on, then give you an honest arrival window.
- On-site assessment and camera inspection — we confirm the affected drain and, where needed, run a CCTV camera to see exactly what and where the blockage is.
- Clearing the blockage — a machine auger for soft clogs and light roots, or a high-pressure water jetter that scours the pipe wall clean for stubborn or recurring ones.
- Testing and a final check — we flush the line and, where we have used the camera, confirm the pipe is clear end to end.

We bring the right gear to diagnose and clear a drain in one visit: a high-pressure water jetter that scours grease, sediment and roots from the full pipe wall; a CCTV drain camera that pinpoints the cause and location; machine augers for soft blockages; and no-dig drain relining where a pipe needs repair. Matching the method to the blockage is what makes the clear last.
All drainage work is carried out by a QBCC-licensed plumber and left compliant. We are a full plumbing and gas team, so anything the visit turns up — tapware, hot water or gas — can be handled by the same licensed crew.

How long does clearing a blocked drain take?
Most blockages are cleared in a single visit, often within an hour or two once we have diagnosed the cause. A recurring problem needing a camera inspection or relining takes longer, but we always give you a realistic timeframe up front.
Do you offer same-day service?
Yes, where possible. If you call early and we have availability, we aim to attend the same day — especially for a drain backing up or a sewage smell. We are always upfront about the arrival window.
Do I need a licensed plumber?
For drainage work, yes. Licensed work protects your warranty and home insurance and ensures the job is done to standard. We are QBCC-licensed, fully insured, and diagnose properly rather than just poking at the symptom.
Do you service my suburb?

Do you handle both gas and electric?

Do you do CCTV camera inspections?
Yes. Every blockage clear includes a CCTV inspection so we can show you what was causing the problem and whether it's likely to recur.
How do you quote clearing a blocked drain?
Single-toilet or sink blockages are usually quick to clear; main-line blockages can need a high-pressure jetter and CCTV. We assess the blockage and give you a clear quote before starting.
Will I need to dig up the yard?
Usually no. High-pressure jetting and pipe relining cover most issues without excavation. Full pipe replacement only if the line has collapsed.
